G's Golden Chippy & Pizzeria has been feeding Acklam and the rest of Middlesbrough for well over a decade. Everything is cooked to order — golden battered cod and haddock, Whitby scampi, and the full chippy counter of pies, sausages, fritters and scallops.
And then there's the parmo. G's chicken parmos — breadcrumbed chicken under béchamel and grilled cheese, with chips and salad — are the stuff of local legend, and the kitchen placed 3rd in a Teesside parmo cook-off. Add stone-baked-style pizzas, kebabs, wraps and burgers, and it's no wonder the queue goes out the door on a Friday.
